How do I create an account?

Neemee is currently in open beta. Click "Get Started Free" or "Sign Up" to create your account using Google or GitHub authentication. You can start capturing and organizing notes immediately - no waitlist, no credit card required.

How do I install the bookmarklet?

After signing up, go to your Settings page and find the Bookmarklet section. Click the "Install Bookmarklet" button and follow the browser-specific instructions to add it to your bookmarks bar. Then, whenever you're on a webpage you want to save, click the bookmarklet to capture it instantly.

What browsers are supported?

Neemee works best on modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. The bookmarklet is compatible with all major desktop browsers. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your preferred browser.

Is there a mobile app?

Currently, Neemee is a web-based application designed for desktop browsers, with full support for CLI-based coding agents through our MCP integration. We're exploring browser extensions and native mobile apps for future releases. For now, the web interface and MCP integration provide the best experience on desktop devices.

How do notebooks work?

Notebooks are collections that help you organize your notes by topic, project, or any system that works for you. You can create unlimited notebooks, assign notes to them, and switch between notebooks to focus on specific areas of your notes collection.

Can I add custom metadata to my notes?

Yes! Neemee supports frontmatter fields that let you add custom metadata to your notes. You can create tags, set priorities, add due dates, and define custom fields to organize and filter your notes exactly how you need.

How does search work?

Neemee includes full-text search across all your notes, including titles, content, and metadata. You can filter by notebook, tags, date ranges, and source domains. Search results are ranked by relevance to help you find what you need quickly.

Can I export my notes?

Yes, you can export individual notes in markdown format. We're working on bulk export features that will let you export entire notebooks or your complete notes collection. All your data remains yours and is always accessible.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Since Neemee uses OAuth authentication (Google or GitHub), you don't have a separate Neemee password. If you're having trouble signing in, use the "Forgot Password" feature of your OAuth provider (Google or GitHub) to reset your credentials.

How do I update my profile information?

Go to your Account Settings from the dashboard menu. You can update your display name, email preferences, and notification settings. Your OAuth provider (Google or GitHub) manages your primary authentication details.

Can I change my email address?

Your email is managed by your OAuth provider (Google or GitHub). To change your email, update it with your provider first, then sign out and sign back in to Neemee to refresh your account information.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from the Account Settings page. This action is permanent and will delete all your notes, notebooks, and associated data. Make sure to export any notes you want to keep before deleting your account.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes, all data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and at rest in our secure database. We use industry-standard encryption practices to protect your notes and personal information. Your data is stored in secure data centers with regular backups.

What happens if Neemee goes down?

We maintain high availability with automatic failover and regular backups. Check our status page at /status for real-time system status. In the unlikely event of an outage, your data remains safe and accessible once service is restored.

Can I use Neemee offline?

Neemee is currently a web-based application that requires an internet connection. We're exploring offline capabilities for future releases, which would allow you to access and edit notes without connectivity.

How do I integrate Neemee with other tools?

Neemee offers API access for developers and integrations with popular tools. You can generate API keys from your Settings page to connect Neemee with your workflows. We also support OAuth for third-party app integration.

Who can see my notes?

Your notes are private by default and only visible to you. We never share your content with third parties or use it for advertising. You maintain full control over your data and can delete it at any time.

Do you use my data for AI training?

No, we do not use your personal notes or content to train AI models. Any AI features in Neemee process your data temporarily and securely, without storing or learning from your content. Your privacy is our priority.

How long do you keep my data?

We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. You can request data deletion at any time from your account settings.
